This was an *in progress* photo. The socks were finished in time for hardly Strictly Bluegrass, and worn by the Finnish Forester to Golden Gate park, where they enjoyed some wonderful music.
I got a lovely email saying he was reserving them now for DANCING, which he does at least once a week with his folk music groups. He plays his grandfather's fiddle, which he picked up in his (semi) retirement. Also, that he has some lanolin soap from Scandinavia which he plans to use when he hand washes them.
I have ordered a pattern and hand dyed yarn from Finland for his next pair, and am practicing my Finnish by translating the sock pattern.
My heart and my brain are both filled with such JOY, I feel like dancing, too!
