I received the most beautiful gift in the mail....I actually *gasped* out loud when I opened it.
This chemo cap is for my sister, knitted with LOVE and healing thoughts by Jane.
The knitting is expertly exquisite, and the yarn is so incredibly soft.....
but the FEELING of healing energy is nearly impossible to describe.
The timing is PERFECT. I had several tearful conversations with my sister this week about losing all of her hair, and going for a wig fitting, and how this was the hardest part of ALL for her...
Tomorrow she will be going in for her chemo session, accompanied by my brother, and this cap will be winging its way to her to help with the days that are the hardest.
This is an incredibly difficult post to write. I am overcome with emotion, and trying to respect my sister's wish for privacy. The balance is a very tricky one. I'll keep it short and to the point.
If you are inclined to prayer, please include my sister. She is in need of positive energy and healing miracles.
I am once again reminded of the amazing circle of friendships, interconnected throughout Bloglandia and Ravelry and the various Fiber Festivals where we get to hug each other in REAL life. I am so grateful for these connections, now more than ever.
I am going to pass the Blessing forward and knit some chemo caps for our local Cancer Center. Thank you Jane, from the bottom of my HEART.
Namaste.

What a truly beautiful gift for your sister. I will be praying for her! It must be so difficult to be far from her at this time. Peace to you Greta.

Sending love and light across the pond to your sister plus you and all the family. The cap is beautiful, I love the fact it is the green of new shoots, a hat to nurture the new growth of hair that will come along with much else to make her smile I am sure. Be gentle on you too eh.
