I've been woefully behind in my blogging...
so here is a May Day bouquet for you...
When I was growing up, we used to leave bouquets of flowers in paper cones, tied with ribbons on doorknobs, and dress up in white dresses to dance around a Maypole at school.
sigh.
I miss those simpler, innocent days.
This weekend is filled with May Day protests for workers rights, people dressed in white to call attention to recent Immigration laws, and Pole Dancing has an ENTIRELY different connotation.
I had hoped to be at MSWF this weekend, surrounded by tens of thousands of knitters and fiber folk. Not to be. The Boybird has his company *pickinik* , Daughter bird needs some help with bills and other lifeskill dilemmas...and my to DO list is a MILE long.
I seriously LOVE my job. The intellectual stimulation is so intoxicating....sigh.
The time I used to devote to blogging has almost exclusively been spent talking long-distance to my sister, as she battles stage IV colorectal cancer. I'll have a chance to HUG her in JUNE, as an add on to a trip for work.
Knitting continues to be my therapy, although you'd never know it for the lack of photographic evidence...
Blessings to you and yours,
as ALWAYS.
