Remember when this blog was about Knitting and the Adventures of Danger Girl?
Right.
Today I want to update you on my early adopter adventures.
I was kind of *meh* about the ipad because I didn't feel it was enough about being able to do *work* on it (like editing pictures or having a video conference) but more about media consumption, which I have plenty of other platforms (Kindle, iphone, macBook Pro) to play with.
All that changed with the discovery of ZINIO!
Suddenly I am desperate to be a beta tester for the ipad. Can you guess why?
I'll give you a little hint. An International Knitting magazine that I haunt the newsstands for and pay upwards of $15US for an outdated issue...is available through Zinio. Patterns on my ipad...large enough for me to read and carry around in my knitting bag. The back issues appear to be available as well.
Go check it out...
This is Danger Girl, reporting to you live from the Early Adopter Safari...where I am stalking the elusive ipad....shhhhhh, be vewwy, vewwy quiet....
Also in other breaking news, Daughter bird goes on Tuesday to get her Official BADGE so she can start her Medical Coding Career! I cannot say enough about AAPC and how incredibly helpful and supportive they have been. Her coursework absolutely prepared her for the actual work she will be doing. Proud Mama? You betcha!
Boybird is doing well, and loves his work at his bookstore. As soon as the link goes live, I'll post it here so you can buy books from him!
I'm knitting my sister the slippers from Knitcircus, in the Amazing HazelKnits dk lively. A prayer in every stitch that the chemo will be effective and give her some pain relief. Please continue to keep her in your Prayers.
Pictures of Knitting in our next episode...
Namaste.
