Awaiting the arrival of Snow Leopard....

My laptop had to go commune with the genius(es) today at the Apple Store.

I was the designated driver, and the designated payer as well.

The good news is that the foreign *object* that was swallowed

by the optical drive was removed without any distress whatsoever,

and at no additional cost.

whew!

While I was there.....

(those words always cost money, don't they?)

I got to hear all about the goodness that will be Snow Leopard.

For 30 bucks it appears to be quite a good deal.
