Ah, the power of CHEESE.

In the equation where CHEESE=Lobbyist with deep pockets.

 

Our Governor is about to sign a bill that cuts 40 MILLION dollars from Mental Health Funding.

That's 11 percent of a Program that was already underfunded by 30% to begin with.

The HOSPITALS (who have more CHEESE) got an extra 12 MILLION dollars to handle the

patients who will surely end up there without their regular community supports.

 

Never has it been clearer to me that all citizens are NOT equal. Those without a voice or

enough CHEESE to play the Mousetrap game are simply out of luck.

 

I am so discouraged.
