I just got an update on the Boybird's latest Doctor visit.
He had a yearly physical today, because even though he has been to a doctor almost every week since Easter Sunday when all of this GI distress began, *he has to have a physical before we can refer him to Neurology* sigh.
So he has gained a few pounds back (we went to Golden Corral yesterday, where he ate enough food to feed a family of FIVE and was still so hungry on the way home he ate half a bag of chips he bought at Target.) which if it were ME, would have added ten pounds at least...
and the family practice physician feels that he has GERD, even though the GI specialists think, not.
He now has a referral to Neurology, and also to Occupational Therapy because they are pretty sure he has
(wait for it) Sensory Issues.
They just captured all of each others pawns.
Film at eleven!
Sorry, but I am SO frustrated.
He has had documented sensory issues and fabulous therapy for same nearly all of his life.
He has only had whatever is causing him to lose weight at an alarming rate since Easter Sunday.
They also came to the brilliant (but false) conclusion that he may need to eat more calories.
(the sound you hear is my head hitting the brick wall. over and over again.)
I am actually so glad I was not able to attend this appointment with him.
I'm not sure I could have contained my enthusiasm.
I'm going to go watch the Olympics and knit.
Hope all is well with all y'all.
