He is doing better as long as he doesn't try to eat anything solid.
Even a very soft bagel, a tiny piece, brought all of the symptoms back.
A quick trip to the Family Practice doctor,
who checked for strep (negative)
wisdom teeth (nope)
swollen glands (nada)
so she THINKS it is further down...his esophagus probably.
Possibly reflux...
So no solid food for 7-10 days.
Soy ice cream, pedialyte popsicles,
everything else pureed.
THIS will be quite an adventure.
He is insisting on going to work AND he wants a haircut tomorrow,
which is a whole lot better than the listless, pale, shaky child who just
wanted to SLEEP between throwing up sessions.
If he isn't better in a few days, I am going to ask for a referral
to a specialist.
Trying to decide if ear nose and throat or gastroenterology
makes more sense.
Stay tuned,
tomorrow perhaps there will be pictures
of the calmative knitting
keeping me company during this ordeal.
