and more....

Gorgeous Day

It is a beautiful day for a drive down to the College this afternoon...
I can't wait to take Daughter Bird to her favorite
Mexican restaraunt
and get goose bumps when the
marching Bagpipe band appears
and all of the professors
sweep in
dressed in full academic regalia...

SPRING!

At 8:07pm the Vernal Equinox will be here
and not a MOMENT too soon for me.
I've been happily knitting and hibernating,
and am now ready to peek out
and begin with a fresh NEW
start.
This Friday I will be travelling down
to the College with a box of tissues
for an Academic Awards Convocation
where the Daughter Bird will be honored.
The Marching Bagpipe band will lead the way,
Dessert Reception
to follow.
Life is SWEET, n'est pas?

Strike a match

I just returned from the trip down to the College
with the Daughter Bird.
She's home on break, packed and excited
to spend most of the week in the Florida Keys!
So PROUD of her,
it just puts everything
in perspective...

I've spent most of the last few days
hiking out in the Country
by the Wild River.
Threw my troubles in the
churning waters
and sat on an old porch
in a metal spring chair.

Think I'll build a campfire
and make
s'mores....

sigh.
