We are under a Winter Weather Storm watch
for tomorrow.
Thursday, the BOYBIRD'S Day.
It is the First Thursday,
on which we ALWAYS go to the Mall.
We've NEVER missed a trip
to His Mall.

I am slightly panicked.

I will be waking up every thirty minutes,
peering out into the
gorgeous
FULL MOONlight
and watching for ICE.

sigh.

Good thing I was gifted with some
INCREDIBLE fiber to play with...

absolutely Luscious!

Okay, not so panicked.

Knitting, it's a WONDERFUL thing!

Ordinarily I'd be bored silly with a solid sock yarn...
but Evelyn Clark's
Raindrop Lace Socks pattern
(Fiber Trends)
is excellent!
I did a short row heel instead of the
heel flap and gussets...
but otherwise...

knit the larger size...
simply subbed yarn from the stash...
and it FITS, too!

Knitting in Public....

I was sitting in Starbucks this afternoon, knitting a lace sock
and drinking a caramel apple cider (YUM!)). when an Indian
gentlman came over and said "Ah, knitting! You
knit a LOT?" I nodded, counting the yarnovers before the K2tog.
"My wife goes to the big group at the Mall. Wednesday afternoon.
Lots of famous knitters there. You should go!"
FAMOUS KNITTERS? At the MALL?
"Oh yes, from all over the world."
I wrote it in my hipster PDA...
the things you LEARN when you are knitting,
honestly!

EXTRA bonus points if you remember seeing him in Concert,
the FIRST time!

So, I got all dressed up and went to the Doctor
this morning and got
FABULOUS news!

The nerve appears to be growing back nicely,
he's *gratified* that the HEALING is going so well
and he *appreciated* the opportunity to work with me.
YEP, that's PAST tense, Grammar Avengers...I don't have to see him again,
woo and hoo!

The Hand Therapy can continue at my
discretion. The Buzzy box remains in
my possession.

I am cleared to return to the Gym
(yes!)
and pretty much do whatever
my little heart desires
from here on out.

SO, after I walked the doggies and ran my errands
and checked everything off my List,
Danger Girl and I had a little consult.

A Celebration is in order...naturally.

Almost a Hat...

I'm nearly finished

with the Fake Isle hat
and am LOVING the color changes
of the NORO.
I'm using Silk Garden instead of Kureyon
and Cascade 220 instead of LambsPride
for the contrasting black,
because, you know,
I ALWAYS do that kind of thing.
Unless that gets to be too predictable,
and then Perhaps....Not.

I've got the blahs.

Project Spectrum, round 2!

YAY!
Lolly's project Spectrum is back!
I had SO much fun with this last year (even though I bent the rules to suit my own color wheel)
that I've signed up for another round!

Most of the FUN is seeing what everybody else in
Blogland is doing with the project...
So much incredible inspiration!

snow day!

I got up early with the doggies,
and just LOOK what was outside...

I don't think I will ever outgrow my
childish DELIGHT
in the First Snow...
sigh.
It was all melted by 3
in the afternoon (this is the SOUTH,
dontcha know) so I was able to pick up the Boybird
and do our regular Golden Corral and TARGET
adventure...
but before that
I drove through some lovely piney woods and out
by the Lake and across the River...
and just drank it in,
so LOVELY,
this little dusting of magic snow!
