Final Exams

are over for the Daughter Bird,
so I will be scooting down the road
to pick her up tomorrow
for the Holidays.
Where DOES the time go?
Honestly, this semester
has been a blur.
As soon as she is home
the DECORATING and BAKING
will begin in earnest.
Fa-la-la-la-LA,
la-la-la-LA!

Yippee!

Thanks to Gina,
for alerting me to the Grand Opening,
I happily spent an hour in our new
Trader Joe's!
One of the salespeople said,
gosh, we should just have tee shirts that say
*HI! I'm from California and I'm SO HAPPY
Trader Joe's has come to town...*
heck, yeah! I'd buy one!
Can World Peace be far behind?
(Don't answer that...they have both been on my Christmas List since
I moved here...one outta two aint bad ;)

Twenty Fourth
birthday.
She's in her third year of
College.
Feeling fine
and doing WELL.

The Boybird and I had
a marvellous time after work
journeying to
His Mall
to see it decked out
in all of the Holiday Finery.
He didn't want a single thing,
just to LOOK.

Counting my Blessings!

I went to the hand therapist today and
three of the other patients had lost
fingers in table saw accidents.
I am SO blessed.
Went to see my Personal Physician
this afternoon...
started to whine about the pain
and how long it was lasting,
but thought to ask how SHE was
first...
Oh.My.God.
I'm abundantly, richly BLESSED.
I was annoyed that the poodles kept me up all
night crying and whining,
but really


They are such SWEET Blessings!
If you'll excuse me, I have a LOT of counting to do!

A day at the spa...

The poodles had the WORKS
(dental issues, ear infections,
blood work, pedicures, and a boatload of meds)
which was seven hundred dollars
after the *insurance* covered
some of it...
sigh.
I was up most of the night with them
attempting to help with
the recovery from sedation.
yawn.
The Full Moon was incredibly
beautiful and the air was clear
and COLD.
I don't seem to be able to form a coherent
thought beyond that.
Perhaps tomorrow
I'll have pictures or
something interesting.

Dental cleanings

The Poodles are scheduled to be dropped off EARLY
this morning for their annual dental cleanings.
This means there isn't any BREAKFAST
so I am not the most popular
Mommy today....

We're actually having winter
all of a sudden, too.
Seasonably chilly weather
this morning
after a rainy night
means I'll be extra EXTRA
careful on the roadways.
You too, Okay?

TENS therapy

Relief is spelled T E N S....
wow!
I had three full hours of pain free afternoon
once I had completed my session with the
Certified Hand Therapist!
He made me a custom molded
*immobilizer* brace
(think ski boot fitting)
and we tried the TENS device.
I'll have two more sessions
next week and if I get significant pain relief,
he'll order one for me to use
at home.

The Boybird was a total
GiggleBox
while we got bagels,
a new lunchbox,
some belts
and (as a reward)
TWO more new calendars
for the year 2007.

Is it DECEMBER already?
