Progress!

The Boybird was insisting on going to the Big Box store that
begins with *W*.....
We got bagels for the house and then headed over to
the store that used to
Freak Him Out.
wow.
Not only did he know exactly what he wanted
(dvds released in special editions only for that Big Box)
but he waited patiently in line
to pay for them
and then
WHEN THE CASHIER FORGOT TO REMOVE THE SECURITY DEVICES
was not at all ruffled by the alarm going off and having to return to the
cashier to get it *fixed*
while I practically dissolved into a puddle.
Amazing.
Hope your weekend holds something MIRACLE-OUS
as well!

The autumnal shift

I am not a big fan of the dark months.
I know all about negative space
and needing the dark to appreciate the LIGHT
and time of rest
and all that
yadda yadda yadda.
I'd be perfectly happy
if it stayed in the 70 degree range,
until say...Christmas Eve,
we got SNOWED in until New Year's Day,
and then back to 70 degrees until Spring.
Whoever is in charge of weather...
that's my wishlist.
sigh.

Without my knitting I'd be a basket case.
Think I'll go look at THIS!

Seriously, I think it is a sign of an excellent colorway
when two divergently different patterns
both look splendid.
As you may have noticed from the photo,
it was hot and HUMID here again this weekend,
although we have had some lovely glimpses of FALL.
I'm ready for some real knitting weather!

Friday, finally!

This week has been a WILD one...
I'm glad it is Friday!
Yesterday with the Boybird was SO sweet.
He just loved the Golden Corral,
ate his Fried Chicken right down to the bone.
Inhaled the yeast rolls
and hopped up to go to TARGET
before I even had a chance to get started on my
Green beans and carrots...
teehee.
I am halfway through the first JAYWALKER
sock...
wow.
Who KNEW a two row repeat could be so fabulous?
Grumperina ROCKS.

It is SO nice to get surprizes in the mail.
The poodles are still giggling about the funny card, by the way ;)

the YAMS are the most amazing thing I think I've ever tasted.
