The funeral is tomorrow.
It promises to be a CELEBRATION
of a truly extraordinary LIFE.
I'm going to take my needles
and cast on for a prayer shawl for his
sweet, devoted wife.
After all of the family has left and the
casseroles eaten from the freezer,
I'm sure a wrap of knitted prayers
will be Most Welcome.
If you are so inclined,
join me in a moment of remembrance
and breathe some BLESSINGS out into the world.
He would have LOVED that!

Friday, finally!
This has been a tough week emotionally.
My next door neighbor died after a LONG struggle
with prostate cancer,
and it brought back a RUSH of
memories about my Daddy.
Some of my dear friends are going through
a rough time as well....

Today after work we'll go to HIS Mall
and eat at the Food Court and pick up some
Easter Treats for when his sister
comes home next weekend.
(we'll be making Homemade Marshmallow Peeps!)

After the storm
it is SO beautiful and calm out now that the tornadic
activity has moved away.
sigh.
No major damage here, but lots of limbs down from the trees
that didn't get toppled by Hurricane Fran.
Speaking of trees...
the dogwoods are beginning to bloom:
aren't they LOVELY?
It just amazes me that trash cans and chairs were flying through the air
and yet these blossoms clung tenaciously....

April begins the Orange and Yellow phase of project Spectrum!

on size 2US dpns...
Hand-dyed sock yarn from
Sundara
in the Flames colorway.
This is way outside my usual color comfort zone,
but I am thrilled, so far.
I worked in a jewelry store after school for much of High School,
and this colorway truly does capture the essence of the Tiger Eye!
