I promised you a PICTURE,
and so....
What's that you say?
It doesn't LOOK anything LIKE the pretty pictures in the pattern?
(cough)
No, in fact, it doesn't.
I'm hoping the Finishing Fairies
will work their magic this weekend
because I am going to be very busy with the Daughter Bird.
In sibling news,
I took the Boybird out for Bagels at Bruegger's
(they have SOURDOUGH bagels now....woo and hoo!)
and then he went with me whilst I tried to find a new
digital camera.
I explained to the salesperson that I needed a model with PictBridge
compatibility, a MACRO feature (thanks for the tip, Jane!)
and at least 4MP.
While we chitchatted about what this was going to be used for
(TAKING PICTURES OF YARN AT CLOSE RANGE is apparently NOT
a usual request in this geek emporium....)
The boy came back with a box.
*Just a minute* I said,
wanting to finish my conversation
before looking at what I thought was an accessory for his
Vast Collection of Video Game paraphenalia...
He handed me the box,
and rolled his eyes.
OH.
Well, lookee here.
Everything I asked for and on CLEARANCE SALE!
The salesperson said
*Oh yeah, I forgot about THAT one,
there's only one left and the box is open so I'll give you
an extra ten percent off, how would that be?*
That would be FINE!
Here's the best part:
In order to check out the *ability*
to photograph FIBER
at close range,
we took 20 pictures of the
CARPETING while down on our knees
with ten different cameras while
the Boybird tested the
SPINABILITY
of all of the Office chairs
in the next aisle.
The boybird's box won, hands down
and was almost HALF the price of the others.
The batteries are charging as we speak.
How DOES he do it?
