I am SO not a yarn snob.
I learned to knit when I was FOUR (yes, we played four square with dinosaur eggs back then!)
with Red heart and Metal needles and I loved it even as it squeeeekded through my fingers....
I've been known to knit with garden twine and chopsticks,
Copper wire and stainless steel needles (my thesis for art school was KNITTED)
you name it.
I do spin and crochet, but knitting is my true love.
I'm allergic to dust, but you'd never know it by my housekeeping skills.....
I don't have a wish list, but keep going back to look at Teva Durham's new Loop de loop book.
Do I have a sweet tooth? well, um, I think I have a whole mouthfull of sweet TEETH and they all
love CHOCOLATE. and caramel. mmmmmm.
I am a girl with her own tools, and an art studio, so YES on the crafty thing.
My computer does indeed play music and I was an early adopter of the ipod.
I love lavender and rose and peony scents,
but my favorite right now is geranium.
I'm a blue/purple green knitter, but my house is pink and yellow and RED, so I pretty much have never met a COLOR I don't like in the proper context.
I am an empty nest Mom of two grown kiddos with Autism, have poodles and a siamese cat,
but consider my Knit Blog Buddies my extended family.
I don't subscribe to magazines anymore, I love the thrill of going to the bookstore(s) to see what's new and always end up buying them all anyway.
We're currently collecting anything that has to do with Gary the Snail from Spongebob and of COURSE, Wallace and Gromit.
I'm a huge fan of the japanese quilting/beading/knitting/crafty magazines. I can spend HOURS looking at them and I always SAY I'm going to at least get a basic translation dictionary or something, but the pictures in and of themselves are just SO inspirational!
My life dream is for my children (and YOURS) to reach their full potential as human beings and have productive independent lives as FULL members of the community.
I'm currently obsessed with Inishmore, Lace Shawl knitting, and Silk Garden and or/Kureyon for tv knitting.
Yes to sock knitting, and *all of the above* to needle type.
If I had to choose one (please don't make me chooooose) I'd grab my addi turbos.
My favorite yarn? Oh dear. Whatever I'm holding NOW.
That would be Rowan's cashsoft.
Ask me again next week though....
cuz I'm dying to try soysilk or bamboo or cashcotton or....
you get the picture...
now I'm off to read MY secret pal's blog....
Isn't this FUN?
Toodles!
