Well, hello there....what?
No, I'm not finished with those socks yet,
sigh.
In fact, I've ripped out Take Two
and started over again,
this time from the
Toe Up.
I'm using Wendy's famous pattern
of course.
I think our Lady McPhee
is onto something about some knitting projects
coming to live with us for the express purpose
of teaching us Patience.
Third time seems to be the CHARM!
See?
I actually DID hold the new sock up to the window
to show Bambi...
what can I tell you,
I just think it is fabulous that
they come right up to the window
of the studio to see
what I am working on.
I have, however,
SERIOUSLY revised my
enchanted garden plans
for the Spring...
to include enough for all of us.
No sense planting rare and expensive
Hostas around here unless
I can understand that the planting tags
should say
"Please use a clean plate for return trips to the Salad Bar."
I'm pleased to say that I am breathing
nearly normally again
and feel Almost Human.
Extra PRAYERS for those of you
on my List.
You know who you are.
MWAH!
Hello hello :) and thanks for the kind comments on my Ribby :D Words of praise are always appreciated.
As to that gorgeous Socks for Sandals and Clogs, I fell in love with an old copy at my local knitting store, but it didn't have the poster, and I'm such a visual knitter I had to have a complete version...not knowing the original was out of print, I went and googled it and was happy to quickly discover that a 2nd ed is coming out THIS MONTH! (one such location mentions it: http://www.needleartsbookshop.com) Sadly, the other book I'm lusting after is nowhere to be found except for extravagent amounts of money :( (Alice Starmore's Aran Knitting)
Sorry for the dreadfully long comment :)
