Woke up this morning to beautiful blue skies and sunny day.....(all you allman bros fans, sing it with me, now....) and counted my many abundant blessings. i love my Mom's house. It is perfect for her...very secluded and private with a view of the trees and the sky. Lovely and peaceful.
Except if you need cell phone service (of which there is absolutely ZERO, I can't even check my messages...) or a reliable fast internet connect....(shaky dial up, which is why these posts are short. I keep getting dumped off...) which makes me realize just how much time I spend every day *connected* electronically. Which is fabulous, and I can't wait to get back into that....but there is something so absolutely amazing about TALKING to my Mother for the first time in my adult life without any interruptions or pressing obligations. We knit, we cook dinner, we talk....nothing beeps or buzzes or pages me. WOW.
How wonderful for you and Daughter Bird to be able to spend quality time with your mother. Our lives *are* so connected electronically, but nothing can replace being able to hug a loved one. Enjoy! xxoo

I just spent four days totally unconnected (OK, I had the cell phone, but it doesn't do any tricks) and I do think it added to my sense of rest, much as I missed connecting with beloveds. You were much on my mind, though, dear heart. I wish we could eat pancakes together tonight~ XXO
