Gotta keep this short cuz we are under a Tornado Warning. Why I am blogging when I should be hunkered down away from windows is a testament to how I feel about this community of Friends....
I wore a Black Velvet pantsuit, tango shoes, and ate marscapone cream covered chocolate for dessert.....danced to Gypsy Swing music out in the hallway and loved the fact that the absolutely adorable fiddle player winked at my daughter....
BUT. sigh.
The restaraunt is a converted wharehouse space, packed with people as this was the night all the restaraunts in *town* donate ten percent to the Interfaith Council to feed the hungry....
so while I was thrilled that it was busy and the food was great, the acoustics were terrible.
sigh.
Yikes. Pets are doing the pre-storm freak out drill....
This is Danger Girl
reporting LIVE for the Weather Channel..........
Oh yeah - post about cream and chocolate on the day I'm trying to go back on the DIET! Actually, I'm just trying to cut back on the carbs again and I really don't call it a diet. I don't know sometimes if it is a blessing or not that some people's music ears get bugged by acoustics, tuning, etc - while others just sit there and appear to thoroughly enjoy themselves.

Holy cow, don't y'all ever get a break out there from The Weather? Seems like you have lots more of it than we do. I love hearing about it, though. Hunker down with some knitting and ride it out....

Why do I have this sneaking suspicion that you, and your daddy, would have gotten along famously with my dear Grandpa Z, aka "The Last One into the Cellar in Threatening Weather"??

Ha! My grandpa was always the one to shuttle us all into the basement at the first sound of sirens. The very opposite of Danger Girl, my grandpa was.

Lithium, I'm going back on the low carb thing again today too, so I'm with ya, girlfriend. :)
Greta, hang in there and stay safe, sweetie. What a great time to knit!
