I've been keeping all of the plates spinning and trying to manage it all (picture a scene from Dr. Seuss inserted here....bonus points if you are already chanting the words....) and the time seems to just be RACING by...
so Friday I took a break and went for a day trip to the North Carolina mountains. Only a couple of hours away, but time seemed to slow down and stretch out....it was LOVELY to breathe deeply of the cold mountain air and drink in the scenery...
Winter weather was forecast for Saturday, and it was QUITE cold already, but so lovely....sigh.
you are noticing a *theme*, perhaps?
This was the *reason* for the trip.....an antique skein winder in a shop about to close for the Winter Season, because of the impending Weather....

Time for a little FISHING....
and knitting....
before heading back down the mountain to civilization and back to work.
I've got a FULL complement of it this weekend, formatting documents and filling out paperwork
and getting all of my end of the year ducks in a row...and the Daughter bird's birthday is tomorrow! (yikes. presents to wrap and cards to write and.....)
but the lovely skein winder is sitting there, reminding me, of a slower simpler way.
