The traditional New Year of January 1 is well past, and The Year of the Water Snake does not begin until February, but it feels like it is a whole new year for me because I just slept 11 hours last night, and I am determined to RELAX today and not work straight through until the wee hours of the morning.....we'll see how that goes....
So, for those of you keeping score at home, it has been a bit confusing lately.
I accepted a wonderful job at Stanford, and am commuting from Sacramento, with side trips to visit my Mom (who is doing really well) and to NC where the birds are also doing well, but hoping to join me out here in sunny CA once the job becomes permanent.
The machinery of Academia moves VERY slowly, so I don't really know what *soon* means anymore. Knitting along on Thorn for a dear friend
with plans for many, MANY more projects swirling around in my brain....
